The position We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated candidate for a PhD fellowship available at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Faculty of Science and Technology. The fellow will work on a project targeting the synthesis and late-stage functionalization of compounds for medicinal and materials applications. The applicant must state which of the areas is relevant for the PhD project. Qualification requirements We are looking for applicants with a strong academic background who have completed a five-year master degree (3+2) within mathematics or statistics, preferably acquired recently; or possess corresponding qualifications that could provide a basis for successfully completing a doctorate. The PhD position is devoted to the experimental aspect, including chemical, electrical and optical characterization within WP1, WP2 and WP3. Some notable experimental techniques to be employed include secondary-ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), deep-level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) and photoluminescence (PL).
