It's a raw, gritty and totally unrelenting dramatic depiction of one of the fiercest battles of America's bloodiest war. Hamburger Hill is an excellent book, Unlike the film the book is based on real fact and not fictionalized. One of my friends from my home town was there. He has told me much of what happened on hill 937.
